Busy week. Busy weekend. Even busier week ahead. Posts might be few and far between for the next week, but I thought I would post some snaps I've taken over the last week.

Blouse: Forever 21
Skirt: Forever 21
Cardigan: Costa Blanca
Necklace: Forever 21
Hat: H&M
Lips: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo

Look who decided to wear a skirt? Oh my goodness, I rarely wear dresses and skirts anymore. I'm not sure why, because I have an abundance! Maybe it's because I'm never sure which shirt to pair with them... I think it's shirts that I'm low on. That must be it.

It has been a lovely long weekend. I was supposed to meet my parents in Saskatoon - our condo sold and we need to move out by Thursday (well, it's all my stuff from university) - but the roads were too bad, so I couldn't get up there. I feel bad having them box up all my stuff alone, without me there to help. They're wonderful!

I bought this hat a few months ago from H&M, but I never wear it. I'm never sure if it's acceptable to wear it indoors or not. What do you think? Can I wear it inside?

I hope everyone has a lovely Monday!

Last night my boyfriend and I went on a sushi date! We ordered way too much food, and half of it is now sitting in my fridge waiting for tonight's supper. It was a nice and relaxing evening.

When we got home, we watched the documentary Helvetica. Have you seen it? It's so interesting how a typeface can have such an impact! I would highly recommend it.

It's a long weekend here for us - tomorrow is Family Day in Saskatchewan, so I don't have to work! I'm looking forward to relaxing and organizing my bedroom.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Jeans: H&M
Shirt: Costa Blanca
Blazer: Forever 21
Jacket: Le Chateau
Necklace: Forever 21

Oh my, it has been a whirlwind of a week! It went by so quickly, and I was incredibly busy. Work was hectic this week - I had to finish of a grant application and send it in. Since then, I have been working on magazine advertisements and press releases. I love my job! I'm working as a marketing assistant for cultural festivals, and at an art gallery. I'm so fortunate to have the jobs that I do, and I'm surrounded by amazing people.

My friend and coworker Sarah, has graciously started taking photos for me. How awesome are these ones?!

Sweater: Costa Blanca
Disco Pants: American Apparel
Necklace: Forever 21
Bracelets: Aldo, Tonic
Rings: jwlry
Boots: My Hot Shoes

I can't believe it's already the middle of the week! I feel like I have so much left to accomplish. I've been really lazy lately... normally I wear dresses every day, especially if I'm working. Lately though, I've been wearing sweaters and either my AA disco pants or my riding pants because they're so comfortable. Soon I will get back into my skirts and dresses phase. I think I have to or I will go crazy!

I hope you have a lovely middle of you week! May you be productive and accomplish lots! I have been pretty uninspired/lazy lately. I hope to turn that around today.

How do you manage to stay productive?

Striped Top: ONLY
Sweater: ONLY
Jacket: Vero Moda
Riding Pants: American Apparel

On Saturday I traveled back to Saskatoon – where I went to university – to have one of my final weekends at my condo there. My parents bought a condo when I started university because my sister and I were both studying at the same time. It made more sense financially to purchase rather than rent. It has now sold and the new owners take possession on February 22.

My boyfriend met me there (ah, long distance relationships) and snapped these photos for me.

We had an amazing dinner at a nice restaurant – kind a of pre-Valentine’s Day date, since we won’t see each other on Thursday. This restaurant changes their menu every day and writes it down on a chalkboard and they use local ingredients. We both had their duck breast. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Friday night I went to an AMAZING concert. It was Mark Berube and the Patriotic Few. They put on a phenomenal show – it was honestly one of the best I have seen in a long time – and I’m a live music junkie. Here is a photo I snapped – and check out one of their music videos Above The Ground. Any of my Canadian readers – if they come through your city be sure to check them out.

I'm Coming For You

Sweater: ONLY
Skirt: Forever 21
Scarf: Forever 21
Jacket: Le Chateau
Ring: jwlry
Bracelet: Tonic
Shoes: My Hot Shoes

First outfit post in SO long. I'm hoping to make them quite frequent, now that I have a super lovely coworker who is willing to take them for me.

The title of this post is 'I'm coming for you' and that's because today I was accepted into the Visual College of Art & Design of Vancouver! I start July 2 and I am so excited. It will be such a pleasant change to move out to the west coast and get out of the prairies for a little while. I am very, very excited.

Tonight I'm going to/working at a concert at our local performing arts theatre. I was there for the soundcheck, and I think it should be really good. Then tomorrow I'm off to Saskatoon and my boyfriend is meeting me there, and we will go out for a nice supper to celebrate Valentine's Day a little bit early. It should be lovely.

What are your weekend plans?

Copycat: Chevron Nails

I tried out these nails the other day, after seeing an Instagram photo by Aleeza from Stylish & Literate! She then wrote a blog post about it, then later uploaded a video to YouTube.

I used the same Essie Turquoise & Caicos and Chinchilly as her, then for my base coat I used this beige/nude colour from Sephora. I just had a mini of that, so I don't know what the actual colour is called!

I used to paint my nails 2-3 times a week... lately I have been so lazy with it! I think it might be because I moved back in with my parents and my dad hates the smell of nail polish.

What do you think? Are you going to try out the Chevron nails?

Oh: and I also want to say Happy Birthday to my sister, who turned 26 today! :)

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

I have been on the hunt for a decent dry shampoo for quite some time. After seeing a few reviews on YouTube and in some beauty blogs, I decided to try out the Batiste dry shampoo when I saw it at my local drugstore. I gravitated toward the XXL Volume style, because my hair usually falls flat!

I have used it at least a dozen times now, and I quite like the way it works! It definitely pumps some volume into my hair when it's slightly oily, and it really absorbs all the oils. I have quite dark hair, and I try to spray a fair bit amount of my hair, then leave it for a few minutes while I finish my makeup or something. It goes on quite white, which might seem daunting at first, but then I'm able to work it into my scalp and it looks perfect.

I'll definitely be repurchasing this when I'm done!

What's your favourite dry shampoo?
