Sephora + Pantone Universe Colour of the Year Creme Lipstick

Sephora + Pantone Universe Colour of the Year Creme Lipstick in Tangerine Tango - $22.00

I bought this beautiful lipstick today from my local Sephora. I saw one of the girls working there which shade it was and she led me to this! I love it. I think I'll be wearing it a lot this summer. It glides on really nicely, and since it's a creme lipstick it's non-drying... which is good for my dry lips! It's nicely pigmented and I think I will wear it a lot - lightly during the day, and more heavily at night.

I love orange this season!!!

Weekend Photos 01

My weekend started off lovely on Saturday morning - made myself an espresso... Then later a latte! It snowed - but now it has been melting and I think we will finally be getting ready for summer! Saturday night I was just going to stay in an have a relaxing evening - then my cousin/roommate came home with some of his friends around 5... and well... things got a little out of hand! We ended up going to a small town about half an hour out of the city and went to the bar/bowling alley. I lost my purse there - but I ended up finding it in the morning. I got back to the city early afternoon on Sunday, ate some cereal, and just relaxed for the whole day. All in all it was a good weekend!

NO ORDINARY LOVE

You could imagine my surprise when the wonderful Dylana Suarez of Color Me Nana commented on my last post. Here is a blogger who has been a huge inspiration to me taking the time to comment on my blog? She is a very beautiful person with such amazing style - and of course, a big sweetheart. I soon went to her blog, which I check daily, and saw her in this wonderful chiffon skirt, vintage tee, and denim jacket. I was immediate inspired, and decided to do my own rendition of it! Thank you Dylana!

It has been a good start to my weekend so far! My "trusty" BlackBerry bit the dust, and after much pleading with my parents, I got an iPhone! FINALLY! You can follow me on instagram - I'm @rrcoolv. I can tell that this is going to become a ridiculous addiction.

For the rest of the weekend I just hope to photograph a couple outfits for next week, relax, drink lots of coffee, listen to music, and work on homework!

What are your plans for the weekend?

DON'T LET US BRING YOU DOWN

Jeans: Gap
Striped Blouse: Vero Moda
Sweater: Forever 21
Jacket: ONLY
Shoes: Forever 21
Nail Polish: Essie - Turquoise & Caicos

Well, it WAS really nice weather for the past few days... then today it's back down to zero, it's cloudy, it's rainy, and it's gloomy! I think my outfit today reacted perfectly to the weather... then my polish colour brings hope for more spring-like weather conditions!

I had a wonderful weekend! Spent Saturday going to different pubs with a guy I recently started seeing to drink some irish beer, then I had a bunch of friends over to my place Saturday night and we played some drinking games. We then tried going to the bar, but the line-up was too long (luckily it's only a 30 second walk from my place!) so we just grabbed some pizza and chicken wings instead.

BRUSH THE HEAT

Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Shorts: DIY (made from Dish jeans)
Shoes: Forever 21

I'm a short-making ADDICT. It's so much fun - and you can make whatever you want, with whatever colour combos. I need need need some more old jeans that I can tear apart.

I'm so excited for it to be summer. I can't wait for all the rooftop patios at the bars where I can drink sangria, to go running by the river, for Las Vegas for May long weekend (my sister-in-law-to-be's bachelorette party and my birthday), my brother's wedding in Toronto in June/July... so much to look forward to! I really want to have a great summer, I'm ready for a ton of fun. AND THE CLOTHES! I loooove summer fashion.

What clothing items are you most excited for summer?

HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE

Shirt: 5th and Culture
Shorts: DIY (from American Eagle jeans)
Shoes: Steve Madden

Well, I'm back with outfit posts! I was feeling incredibly uninspired the past month, and I think it had mostly to do with the weather. I was sick of needing so many layers, and I was definitely ready for spring.  Now spring has arrived, and I've been making SHORTS! You might remember these shorts I made, in January. I found some more old jeans and decided to try making some more! This time I dyed them too.

It's not nice enough to wear them outside yet, but I can't wait until I can - so I'll just photograph them. ;)

What DIY projects have you been itching to try?

I'll have another post with another pair I made on Friday likely!

Happy International Women's Day!

"Not saints, nor whores, only women"

I don't know the source of any of these photos, but I'll give credit where credit is due if I am posting any of this without permission!

Happy International Women's Day everyone! Let's celebrate women today, and remember that we still have so far to go.

“I am awfully greedy; I want everything from life. I want to be a woman and to be a man, to have many friends and to have loneliness, to work much and write good books, to travel and enjoy myself, to be selfish and to be unselfish… You see, it is difficult to get all which I want. And then when I do not succeed I get mad with anger.” - Simone de Beauvoir

Colour Love: Orange

It has been AGES since I've updated. I really apologize! The reasoning behind this is that I started repeating outfits and was beginning to lose inspiration for what to wear. So, I've been spending my time on the internet to become inspired again, and I must say, I'm LOVING orange for spring. I have an orange skater-style dress that I bought in the fall, but it fits a little bit snug. I'm hoping that by the time the snow melts and the temperature rises I'll be able to wear it comfortably! How would you style orange? I quite like Le Fashion Monster's idea of pairing it with leopard print heels and a leopard print belt. I also love Diya's burnt orange vintage blazer with the floral print dress!

We're having a bit of a blizzard today, so I'm calling it a snow day! You can barely see a few feet ahead of you outside, and the snow just keeps coming. My car looks like it's stuck in my parking lot, and I'm not  brave enough to shovel it out.

Stay warm folks! Here's one of my favourite songs to listen to in the winter to warm your heart.
