The following are a few photos from my summer I recently spent in Zambia. I was working there for four months, and the first half of my placement I spent living in the village, and learning all about family life, the way they farm, and working on a project/system for the company I was placed with. It was an incredible experience - one that I will never forget. Enjoy the photos!
I think she is just the most beautiful little girl. She worked incredibly hard - always doing her morning chores of sweeping, fetching water, and cooking breakfast for the younger children. I've never been so proud to know someone. She has a bright future.
She loved to wear my glasses!
A grandmother with her grandchildren. They have the most beautiful "chitenge" fabrics there, that women always wear around their waists. So pretty. It's really a beautiful culture.
Working hard to store this year's maize harvest. These women are very hard workers.
Thanks for reading! xo. If you have any questions, please leave a comment!
